Over-The-Road Driver

Interstate Driver Positions available at our Alma, location. Deliveries are usually a one day turn around. Job consists of picking up trailer tube from the Alma Drop Yard and delivering them to Dairies located in OH and IN most regularly. Some variations of delivery locations should be expected. Drivers tend to be placed on a 5 days on 3 days off schedule to ensure work life balance. Management will work with availabilities case by case. Average $300 per delivery. Requirements for position:
A “Class A” CDL (manual) for a minimum of 2 years
A tanker endorsement
Good driving record

Local Driver

Local Farm Driver Positions available at our Alma, Cass City and St. Johns locations. Reliable hours, competitive pay, and excellent benefits. On the job training for samplers license and route pick up. Job entails food grade procedures, sampling of milk, safety on the road ways and delivery to dairies.

Local Shuttle Delivery Positions available at our St. Johns location. On the job training for delivery process at plant. Job entails unloading trailers at Ovid MMPA Dairy, and transporting equipment to and from the St Johns DRB drop yard.

Requirements for position:
A “Class A” CDL for a minimum of 2 years
A tanker endorsement
Good driving record
All drivers will have required random drug screenings

Certified Mechanic

Job details

• Full-time, 45 hour work week Monday through Friday, with mandatory every other weekend schedule. (Shifts between 5:00am and 3:00pm)

• Manual labor involving repairs of Diesel Semi Tractors and Multi-axle Tanker Trailers.

• Collaboration with a team of 2 to 3 mechanics per shift. 

• Onsite work and occasional services calls off site. 

• On call shifts during evenings, alternating between mechanics daily, for additional pay. 

• CLD holders qualify for premium pay. Non-CDL holders must be willing and able to drive tractors in an out of shop on private property. Previous experience is required. Some on the job training offered for company specific processes. 

Pay Structure:

• Evaluation period of 2 weeks at $27 an hour

• Official Hourly Base Rate of $29 an hour

• Yearly Pay and Performance Reviews

• Premium Pay for Qualifying CDL holders

• Premium Pay for Certified Mechanics

Requirements/Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience 

• Minimum 2 years of Trailer Mechanic experience

• Technology & Diagnostic Skills: Must be comfortable and proficient with Samsara, Cummins and Detroit software platforms 

• Complete tool set

• Good Driving Record

• Computer diagnostics

• Electrical diagnostics

• Troubleshoot cranking, fuel, and air brake systems

• Previous record keeping experience of work logs, parts and other inventory

• Ability to work well under pressure and in new environments

Current Openings & Timeline:

DRB Transport Inc is looking for a minimum of 2 Full time mechanics and potential Part Time mechanics. The hiring process consists of the original application being submitted online - drbtransportinc.com/apply - followed by a phone interview. Round two of the application process is a face to face interview and walk through of the facility along with a brief explanation of the job responsibilities. Round three of the application process is an onboarding period working alongside a current mechanic. This is considered an evaluation period of 2 weeks to ensure a good fit for both sides. The final phase of the process is a written offer of the full time or part time position followed by an increase of pay from the probationary wages during the evaluation period, to the base wages and or premium wages.
